PayPal USD (PYUSD) is a dollar-pegged payment stablecoin issued by Paxos Trust Company for use on PayPal, Venmo and on-chain. It is fully reserved with U.S. dollar deposits, Treasuries and cash equivalents and redeemable 1:1 for dollars. Native on Ethereum and Solana, it is used for transfers, merchant payments and DeFi. Paxos launched PYUSD in August 2023.
