Gitcoin is an Ethereum public-goods funding project that helps communities fund open-source and other digital public goods through Gitcoin Grants. It uses quadratic funding so projects with more unique donors get more matching funds than those with a few large gifts. GTC is GitcoinDAO’s governance token, launched in May 2021 after the project started in 2017.
